I made clam chowder for dinner tonight but because Pogiji and I were hungry hippos, we wolfed down on the soup faster than we could say higop. I forgot to take a picture for the blogblog! Craaaaaaaaaaaap.
Heniways, good thing I have this picture repository (naks, repository talaga hihihi) of past dishes. Nakita ko tuloy si Charlie Chan wannabe.

The pasta was not in my weekly menu when I cooked this. Kaya lang parang two nights before I cooked this dish, we had leftover cappelini that I already cooked (don't ask me why, I probably ate too much MSG that day). Cooked pasta spoil fast so I was kind of forced to cook it as soon as possible. Since we had chicken breast fillets left in the freezer, I decided to reverse engineer my favorite Yellow Cab pasta.
To cook the wannabe recipe, you first need to sautee onion and garlic in olive oil. Add the chicken (cubed) to the sautee and wait until it turns brown. In a bowl, mix sesame oil, soy sauce, chili flakes and muscovado sugar in a bowl and add to the chicken. Let it simmer and add salt and pepper to taste. Turn off the heat, add peanuts and mix in the pasta. You can put fresh green bell pepper for an added kick, but of course, this is optional.
It's almost Friday guys! Yay!

yay for another delish recipe! although at this moment, i'd rather eat someone else's cooking, i'm still pooped tired and more of a hungry hippo than an ulirang asawa every dinner time. ^-^
i'm back to the cooking groove next week, i'm writing down your recipe!

hi, mai! i was sooo craving for Charlie chan chicken after I saw your blog. So, I decided to cook this recipe.. I think I added java sauce instead.. and I added mushrooms, there were no shitake mushrooms available, so i had to use button mushrooms, but it doesn't add to the flavor.. :-( i think my charlie chan turned out ok, not bad for a first timer! heheheh
this food is bagay during rainy days hehehe.
